A Daily Tarot Card Helps Rachel True Stay Centered
Embracing the mystical helps her check in with herself
“I pull one card out of a deck [every day], and I’ll put it up so that I can look at that card throughout the day… ” — Rachel True
Everybody talks about self-care, but really, what is it? For Viola Davis, it means loving on her family and hopping in the jacuzzi with the hubs. For Janelle Monae, it means therapy. For Holly Robinson Peete, it means saying “no” more consistently. For Rachel True, it means tarot.
However you define it, they say, it is imperative that you make time to do it. If you need some ideas, we’ve got you covered.
Here’s the rest of what Rachel True, the star of cult classics Half & Half and The Craft and author of a new book, True Heart Intuitive Tarot, had to say:
I pull one card out of a deck [every day], and I’ll put it up so that I can look at that card throughout the day when I’m walking around the house, and it’s just a reminder of that energy. I do love crystals—I’ve always been drawn to them—so I take off my jewelry, and I’ll put them on top of my crystals every night. Making sure that I engage in some form of art and doing something creative sometime during the day.
