Dear Readers,

Since the initial rollout of ZORA last summer, we have been commissioning pieces from women of color across the nation on topics such as voter suppression, abortion, presidential candidates, issues surrounding Indigenous communities, as well as profiles of young politicians on the rise. Now that the 2020 presidential election season is underway, we’ve decided to expand our politics coverage to provide ample breakdowns, interviews, and op-eds from some of our brightest and most astute writers for our new and improved MONITOR column.

Joining Anjali Enjeti, whose specialty lies in Southern politics, are Danielle Moodie-Mills, a social entrepreneur and policy analyst, and Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry, Wake Forest professor and former Nerdland MSNBC host, who will also serve as editor-at-large. We are so excited to have these three women provide us as well as the rest of our community with their sharp and witty analyses.

Sincerely,

The ZORA Team
