It's time for men to stop using public shame to keep Black women in line.
Listen, I wasn't even planning to write a blog post today, and Keke Palmer certainly wasn't next in my idea queue, but in light of recent events, here we are.
So, in case you missed it, Ms. Keke went to an Usher concert a couple of days ago and, in true Black girl magic fashion, became the center of attention. This is all because Usher was Ushering and pulled up on Keke to give her a beautiful serenade.
If you haven't seen it, it was a moment! Usher sounds amazing, Keke looks fabulous, and their interaction left us all gagging and Kekeing!
Here are the highlights of this epic night:
Now in Keke's Baby's Daddy's Defense…
Now, let me first start by saying that I detest the term "baby daddy" for many reasons. And the only reason I'm using it here is to be clear that this man is not her husband, yet, they have a child.
And maybe Keke is the reason they're not married; I don't know. But I do know there are far too many men who want husband privileges with no rings, responsibility, or real commitment, but that's a slight digression…
Anyway, I see why Keke Palmer's baby's daddy was pressed about this interaction. Usher is the OG "Mr. Steal Yo' Girl," and he's staying true to his name to the very end.
Even The Boondocks had his number many years ago. Like, do not leave your girl around him. He literally warned you in song form, but y'all keep playing games!
