If a woman wants to be a manless spinster with 100 cats to keep her warm at night while she guzzles wine by the gallon, why does this bother men?
I’m serious. Podcast after podcast features men who complain about “modern” women and their refusal to do whatever it takes to please and snag a member of the opposite sex. This usually means making herself smaller and putting up with bullshit. A favorite trope of theirs is that “modern” women are going to end up alone and miserable with only wine and cats to keep them company. They also claim that by the time this happens to women, it will be too late for them to find a man willing to settle down with them.
Also, it’s not only single men who talk like this. There are also married and coupled men who feel this way. I guess they’re looking out for other men.
For starters, these men operate under the assumption that every woman desires marriage and motherhood.
