Why are y'all hating on Kelis?
With dating rumors swirling, this reeks of hypocrisy
In case you've been living under a rock, new rumors have surfaced regarding the iconic pop star Kelis' dating life. This time, the people are saying she's dating the 72-year-old legendary comedian Bill Murray. As per usual, the internet is running in one direction while my thoughts are racing in the other. So, let's discuss…
So far, they're only rumors
First of all, I need to point out that, at this juncture, these are just rumors. Yes, the two have been pictured together and have even made a few public appearances, but there has been no confirmation that the two are officially dating. And Kelis herself has said that she doesn't feel the need to comment. Which, to me, sounds a lot like "Mind your business!"
Either way, we do know that they both experienced the tragic loss of a spouse and were recently widowed. We also know they're both in the entertainment industry, love to have good laughs, and are both farmers. So, despite the age difference, it should be clear why the two would find common grounds to form a seemingly unlikely friendship.
Personally, I don't care if they are dating. They're both consenting adults who are enjoying each other's company. Who am I to judge if they did find love in an unlikely place?
