And better than ever!

I am not surprised that Sha” Carri Richardson is dominating women’s track and field. Richardson is a running phenom. Her 100m race shattered records. Richardson is a world-beater. She left the Jamaican women at the finish line wondering what happened!

I always believed Richardson would make a comeback. After being denied entry to the 2021 Summer Games due to a marijuana violation, the world turned its back on Richardson. I didn’t. I believed in her. I felt the situation had been overblown.

Richardson had dominated track & field back in 2020. Despite COVID beating up the world, Richarson was beating the world’s best runners. I feel her being banned from the Olympics was a deliberate effort to hurt the U.S. track team. Richardson was the best in 2020, just like she’s the best now.

But God doesn’t like ugly. Sure, Richardson had marijuana in her system, but it wasn’t a banned substance. It didn’t make her a better runner. Her running skills are 100% all-natural. But the Olympic Committee didn’t care and Richardson was on the sidelines for the 2020 Games.

But that was then and this is now. Richardson didn’t give up on herself. She continued to train. She continued to practice. Richardson surrounded herself with supporters to keep her focused. And the support paid off. Look at her now! Richardson set a world record! Plus, she has qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

I hope to see Richardson in person. I signed up to be a volunteer at the Games. I’ve been to Paris for my writing and hope to return for that and the Games. I have always loved track and field, as well as gymnastics, swimming, and tennis. America always dominates in those fields. I believe we will be at the top of the medal board once again.

So, I support Sha’Carri Richardson. She is the comeback story of 2023. Richardson will dominate the Games. The world doubted her and she used that as fuel to increase her running prowess. Now, she will be running in Paris in 2024. Go, girl, go!
