The Ice Cream Lady From Reddit Demonstrates What Setting A Boundary Looks Like

So the latest social media dating discourse revolves around whether there’s something wrong with an ice cream date or any other “frugal” first dates?

It all began when a text exchange was leaked between a 26-year-old woman and a man called “Vance” who it appears the unnamed woman had already agreed to go on a date with. The 26-year-old cancelled the date after discovering “Vance” wanted to take her out for ice cream.

Vance uploaded the exchange to Reddit on the subreddit “Tinder.”

“Vance” says to the unnamed woman, “I don’t know why, but I’m feeling like getting some ice cream in this hot weather.”

The woman refuses to go on an ice cream date and says, “sorry if this may come off as rude but I don’t do ice cream dates. I’m a 26-year-old woman and a date like that seems like the absolute bare minimum for me. Meeting up would be a waste of both of our times since we probably don’t have the same vibe. Best wishes.”

“Vance” later popped back in the thread to let it be known the woman blocked him after stating her piece. So we don’t know if she ever…
