Blue Ivy Carter, the oldest daughter of megastars Jay-Z and Beyonce, has been trending on Twitter AGAIN. This time the 11-year-old went viral because of her dance performance at the Paris show of her mother’s Renaissance world tour. For those who have kept up with Blue Ivy, and are a member of the Ivy League, the subsidiary of the Bey Hive, you know that Miss Blue has been dancing since the womb.
Let’s look back and see how Miss Blue has been showing us all along that she is the beautiful blend of Jay’s swag and cool, Sasha Fierce’s rhythm and power, and Beyonce’s beauty and poise.
We will start at the very beginning: conception.
She “Was Made in Paris”
As Jay told us in the song, Glory, Blue was conceived in Paris. Divinely, in the same city in which Beyonce conceived Blue, Beyonce presented her child to the world as a performer. In that moment, Beyonce’s conception conceived her spot as a top-tier, world dancer.
Jay recorded Glory and released it a few days after Blue’s birth. He included her cry at the end. Blue is credited as the lead writer, which made her the youngest on the Billboard charts.
The Love On Top
Beyonce announced her pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards at the end of her performance of Love on Top. (So divine that she had a song that would fit so perfectly for her pregnancy announcement. She told us in Countdown that she was trying to make them 3 from the 2.)
During the early months of Beyonce’s pregnancy, before the world knew she was pregnant, she introduced African, rhythmic dancing to her repertoire with the hits Girls (Run the World) and End of Time (at 3:50 she cradles her stomach, but we didn’t know she was pregnant, yet).
