Question 1: Did you go to school in the U.S.?

Answer: Y / N

Question 2: Did you grow up watching American television and movies?

Answer: Y / N

Question 3: As a child, did you read children’s books, or did someone read them to you?

Answer: Y / N

Question 4: Did you see paintings of Jesus or Moses as a kid?

Answer: Y / N

If you answered “yes” to any of these four questions, then congratulations, you’re officially racist.

OK, before you get all bent out of shape, let’s calm down a second.

Despite what extremists on any side of an issue would like us to think, the world isn’t always so, pardon the pun, black and white.

Whether it’s abortion, gun control, immigration or any other hot button issue, there are numerous gradations in the middle. Typically only the loudest people fit nicely into an extreme box.

The rest of us fall somewhere among the in-betweens.

So it is with racism, too.

The pretend quiz wasn’t for people who already admit their racism, like people dropping the “n”…
