“Though she be but little, she is fierce.”

While Shakespeare never met Sophia Chang, it’s safe to say the five foot, four-and-a-half inch Korean Canadian music vet fits the bill. But in true Sophia Chang-style, she also doesn’t give a rat’s ass what you think about her.

With her boldly-titled memoir, The Baddest Bitch in the Room, the self-proclaimed first Asian woman of hip-hop details her nontraditional career trajectory from managing members of the Wu-Tang Clan to managing the USA Shaolin Temple, and her new foray into TV and film.

In the Audible Original, Chang’s story comes to life with voiceovers from special guests such as Method Man, Redman, Raphael Saadiq, and others. But beyond that, hers is a story of self-actualization and self-love. Read on to discover how you, too, can become the baddest bitch in the room.

This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity.
