Checking In: Progress Is Better Than Perfection

While working on a particularly daunting project, I was starting to get completely overwhelmed. Several small tasks when combined together seemed like an insurmountable burden, and I felt weighed down by the responsibilities and deadlines ahead of me.
I was just on the verge of a panic attack when a colleague advised me to stop thinking about everything I need to get done and just think of things as one individual task at a time. Fitness instructor and entrepreneur Cassey Ho of Blogilates suggests taking the same approach when it comes to health and wellness. The goal shouldn’t be to make a whole lifestyle change overnight but instead to make a little progress toward where you want to be every day.
Our goals aren’t meant to be achieved overnight in one fell swoop. If we instead make it our goal to make small accomplishments each day, we may start to feel more successful.
