Eunique Jones Gibson understands how important it is to remember our history. She created Because of Them We Can in February 2013 as a way to honor Black icons of the past and present. Today, she’s making her own legacy as the creator of #CultureTags, the viral family game where players must guess the meaning of acronyms before time runs out. Everything Jones Gibson does is for the culture.

“I want to be that reflection of light, of love, of beauty, of greatness, of potential for everybody,” Jones Gibson told ZORA. “I want to shine a mirror back of everything that is good that exists within Black people, because far too often, we are told a story that we all know does not resonate with who we are and our potential.”
