Real names have been changed to protect the true identities of the people in this story.

Ozzy was the head chef/manager of the airport lounge I worked at. In my time spent working in catering and the food industry in general, I've found that most chefs are assholes but this one, he was special.

He demanded we share our tips with him and walked off with our box of chocolates. The chocolates were given to us as a gift from a guest.

He always had these big stories. He was the chef for the royal family in Saudi Arabia. He had a bakery business which brought in way more money than his job here with us. He spoke 7 languages.

Maybe some of these things were true but some of them I believe had to be lies. I just didn’t trust anything this man said and I never trust people who are constantly bragging.

One day he came into work complaining that he could have made $10,000 if he hadn’t come in.

“I could have made $10,000 today, but no, I’m here!”

He said with a stupid smile on his face.
