Dear ZORA Family,

There are moments in our history when we turn to the arts to express the feelings that we cannot name. This, I would argue, is one of those moments.

I’ve found myself digging through old crates of albums to find just the right song that matches the mood I’m in. Lately it’s been a lot of Sweet Honey In The Rock, an a cappella group that invokes our past musical history — protest and freedom songs, spirituals — in ways that remind us of the power of music.

With everything that is swirling around us now, we could use some inspiration. A number of my friends have said they have gospel music on heavy rotation, a salve that offers hope in even the darkest times.

If you are looking for a release, we at ZORA have something coming in the next few days that we hope will satisfy that need. Be sure to let us know what you think, and as always, stay in touch.
