She isn’t losing at love, she’s winning!

The social media world has been buzzing about the rumored relationship between Lori Harvey (daughter of comedian/host Steve Harvey) and rapper (and professional baby daddy) Future. Harvey posted a video on her Instagram featuring some PDA of her with rapper and shots from her birthday vacation and the world lost their collective minds.
A few of the Internet commentators are lamenting the idea that another young, very beautiful woman is being added to Future’s extensive roster of women who he may impregnate and possibly leave behind for the next. Far more are commenting on how this 23-year-old keeps going from successful celebrity man to the next celebrity man. The names she has been called online and the tone of a lot of these blog posts have been incredibly negative, but the mood is very “boys will be boys” when it comes to him.
I am officially sick of y’all.
Lori Harvey’s love life gives us a lesson we can all learn about taking time to stretch our social circles, experiment, make mistakes and, most of all, have fun!
A woman in her early twenties seeing lots of different men used to be called, well, dating. There was a time pre-social media and pre-trolls where a young person, male or female, was allowed and even encouraged to meet and get to know as many people as possible before settling down. You would go out, take pictures, gush about him/her to family and friends, take trips, exchange gifts and move the heck on if the situation no longer worked for you.
Dating was a process and it seems it is now wrong for women in particular to be seen dating many men in an effort to find “the one.” Instead of this being the traditional process that it once was, women like Harvey are now judged as being “for everybody,” “opportunists,” and “pass arounds.”
Yeah, Harvey’s roster is deep with rich celebrity men like Diddy (and his son), Trey Songz, and footballer Memphis Depay. However, don’t most of us date in our circle? Her parents are wealthy world-travelers and are very much plugged in with the entertainment elite. Watching…
