How to Confront Your Cheater With Dignity
Don’t allow the emotional trauma to lead you to do something you might regret
Nina Thomas became suspicious of her husband, NFL star Earl Thomas, when he told her about outdoor plans he made during a stay-at-home order. She tracked him down via Snapchat, where she saw a video of him and another woman. She figured out where he was, called two of her girls, and went to confront him. She grabbed his gun before she left—just to scare him, not hurt him. Upon arrival, Nina discovered her husband and his brother, Seth, in bed with other women. All hell broke loose, and she put the gun to his head. She reportedly also threatened the women in the room, one who was recording the entire incident on her cellphone.
Police arrived, and Nina was eventually arrested and charged with burglary and intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was also served a protective order requiring her to stay 200 feet away from her husband and the woman he was creeping with. Earl issued a statement via video somewhat downplaying the incident, saying sometimes things happen. As extreme as her reaction was, I would be lying if I didn’t say I can understand how someone could be driven to the point of acting so erratically.
