SPIRIT MEDICINE
Gratitude + 3 of cups
Spread love to your friends and support system too.

In typical Valentine’s Day fashion, the overarching theme this week circles back to romance and love. With the algorithm pushing us to purchase the perfect date night outfit or gift for your significant other, the energy surrounding us feels more platonic than lustful. Rather than focusing your attention on romantic partnerships and interests, Spirit is guiding you to reflect on your intimate relationships and friendships.
In romantic connections there’s an expectation to express love, but how often do we glorify and sit in gratitude for the love that is extended to us through our friends, family and community? The 3 of Cups and Gratitude cards I pulled for us this week urges us to collectively express gratitude for the love of our support systems.
We’ve undergone so many tumultuous shifts of the last few years; marriages, divorces, births, deaths, promotions, terminations. Consider your foundation of emotional support during those times. Who could you call on? Who uplifted you or sent words of encouragement? In fact, when you reflect on these times, some of these people may not even be in your life anymore. This isn’t Spirit guilting you to make amends (though you may want to!), they just want you to find peace in the timing that people were in your life. Some of us will be reflecting on really dense experiences that may have left a bad taste in our mouths, but when we think about how that person or people have shown up for us in some of our darkest times, we can only give gratitude for their service and companionship during those moments. This will help soften our perspective when it comes to relationships that have run its course. Things may have gone sour, but don’t allow that to put a cloudy filter on the times they have shown up for you.
Give thanks to the divine for placing that person in your life when you needed them or when they needed you. If you are in need of that emotional support, Spirit is opening the door for your prayers and invocations to family and community to be heard and received, speedily. By verbally expressing your appreciation for your kin, both past and present, you invite Spirit to usher in more aligned connections that can support your growth…
