Fix The Imbalance in Managing Your Time and Energy
Amber the Alchemist pulls a tarot and an oracle card just for you
You say: “I don’t have time for this!” But Spirit begs to differ! The two of pentacles hints at an imbalance in how you manage your time and energy. This week calls for self-investigation: “What am I doing too much of? What am I doing not enough of?”
Accept that you might’ve bitten off more than you can chew. Be realistic with what you’re able to take on, and create a balance in your life that feels good to your mind, body, and spirit while maintaining productivity.
The energy for the week draws our attention to our daily commitments, tasks, responsibilities, habits, promises, routines, etc. When new opportunities arise, it can be exciting but also just as terrifying when you ask yourself how you’re going to get it all done. Sometimes it looks like pushing everything to the side to focus on what’s most urgent; other times it looks like staring at our calendars, in intimidation, opting to do nothing at all and try again tomorrow. We’ve all had those days, but the reality is that most of us are wearing many hats—the spouse hat, parent hat, entrepreneur hat, freelancer hat, daughter, sister, mother, and auntie hats on top of having our own lives. It can be a lot!
It can seem impossible to create space for joy, therapy, caring connections, self-care, and self-exploration when our energy is being pulled in so many other directions. The two of cowrie provides the intention of staying rooted, but that’s not always a physical thing. Though our work and family lives seem most pressing, Spirit wants to make sure that we are creating systems, routines, and rituals that recognize all facets of our day-to-day lives. Pay close attention to the promises you make, and do your best to honor them. Showing up for our commitments to others is important, but what about the promises you make with yourself?
Accept that you might’ve bitten off more than you can chew. Be realistic with what you’re able to take on, and create a balance in your life that feels good to your mind, body, and spirit while maintaining productivity. Follow the urge to create new routines and systems that amalgamate your old and new lives.
Part of the Scorpio mystique is bringing our inner thoughts, feelings, and emotions to the surface. Reflect on what you were feeling, seeing, and dreaming about around the time of the Scorpio full moon last Monday. This week, there’s an opportunity to see all of you. This includes the parts of you that make you proud, the parts of you that make you embarrassed, the parts of you that you’ve neglected. Most people feel that their shadow self needs healing when it really just requires integration. In order to grow, you must face your shadow. When we embrace our complexities, we have the chance to acknowledge, heal, integrate, and do whatever we need to do to be at peace with who we are and who we are becoming.
The vision card, seen above at the top of the page, is here for the second week in a row to stress the importance of intuitive guidance, foresight, and accountability. Our third eye is here to lean on as we make more conscious decisions.
Adaptability is the most important quality to adopt! Stay flexible as you work through the week; what may be required of you one day may not be necessary the next day. Scope out your tasks for the days ahead and intuitively decide what will be required of you to show up fully in those days. Evaluate what’s currently working for you, and build from there! It may be time to bring in assistance from a friend, family, or professional for support.
- Try a new approach to task management/planning/scheduling.
- Revisit last week’s spirit medicine. How can you integrate self-care into your day?
- Face your shadow for self-understanding and personal growth.
- Ask yourself “What am I doing too much of? What am I doing not enough of?”
