“Believing in your power, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down a brighter path.” Soledad O’Brien, broadcaster, beauty, boss

Hey ZORA fam, just checking in to see how your inner dialogue is going. Earlier this week, I walked past a mirror and caught a glimpse of myself and my “quarantine 15” and my immediate thought was: “Wow, you look terrible.” And my immediate thought after that was: “Whoa! Why are you being so mean to yourself?”

Criticism doesn’t always come from other people; sometimes negativity comes from within. The quote of the day reminds us that the more we value ourselves, the better and brighter our lives become.

You should always be on your own side. Take some quiet time this week to tune out the negative voices, especially when that voice is your own. Let us know how you’re being kind to yourself using the hashtag #ZORACheckIn on Twitter and Instagram.

And if you need an extra dose of encouragement, subscribe to our weekly newsletter, Keepin’ It 100!
