“You are not the work you do, you are the person you are.”—Toni Morrison, writer, wise woman.

I love my job, okay? I’m really blessed to be able to do something that I’m passionate about and get paid for it! But ever since work-from-home orders became the national norm, the boundaries between my work life and home life have gotten really blurred for me. I spend hours on social media so I can stay up-to-date on what’s trending. I check emails day and night and on weekends. I always feel busy and yet I never feel like I’m getting enough done.

This quote from one of my favorite writers, Toni Morrison, reminds me that I gotta leave the job at the job sometimes. And this goes for other kinds of work, too: activism, working on your health, being an influencer! You need to have a life!

Remember: You are more than what you do to make money. I hope you’re enjoying your Labor Day vacation and not spending the day laboring. #ZORACheckin
