A Halloween Full Moon and Blue Moon: Your Astrology Today
Ever hear the phrase “once in a blue moon”? Well, tonight you’re going to see one. A blue moon is an astrological event where a full moon happens twice in one month. They’re fairly rare and astrologically significant. Space.com says they happen around every 2.7 years and have nothing to do with their color. That timing is why people are making a big deal out of a full moon coinciding with Halloween and also being a blue moon to boot.
ZORA resident astrologer Ashleigh J. Day suggests taking things slow and simple today — even if you are the type to try and commune with folks who have transitioned to other spaces. In part she writes this about Halloween’s Full Moon:
How can we be festive on All Hallow’s Eve? The best thing would be to develop a creative way to trick or treat at home and show off your costume on the social media platform of your choice. If you’re a magical, conjuring kind of a gal, this is an intense moon to communicate with your dead. This is not energy to play around with if you don’t know what you’re doing. Keep any rituals performed simple and genuine. Focus on using what you already have in a revolutionary, sustainable way.
